What's up Weekend? 6•7•19

Hello day one of Summer Break.  I had big plans to sleep in and wake up when the boys needed me for anything.  But you know how things go when I plan them.  Instead, I was up at 5:45 and in a cleaning fit by 6:30.  Its 10am now and the house is clean, I've done 2 loads of laundry, vacuumed, finished all the dishes, made a loaf of banana bread and cleaned the boys bathroom.  Oh and this is happening.

We are finally getting Ponchos hole fixed.  A friend of a friend said they could knock it out for me this morning.  And that he'd be here at 8:30.  So, thankfully I was still on my school groove and up early!  Because the house was a wreck.  Thank God its Friday is right!

Today I'm linking up with Lindsay from The Flynnigans, Charlotte from My Pixie Blog and Beth from Coffee until Cocktails.  Every Friday we share all the things that we are happy, grateful and thankful for!  Stop on over and see what everyone else is sharing today! Here is my list for this week

  • Schools out for Summer!
  • Getting Appointments Scheduled and making it all work.
  • Matte Top Coat.  It really works!
  • Thunderstorms
  • Dead to Me!  Finished it!!
  • Lime Outshine Popsicles.
  • Clean Sheets and blankets.
  • Putting things up on our Summer Board
  • Handmaids Tale is back!!
  • Starting and planning house repairs.
  • A last minute hike on new trails.

It was a crazy week.  The are done with school.  I have a high schooler and a 5th grader.  One more year and I am out of my elementary years.  Le sigh.  That's a hard pill to swallow but it comes with some benefits.  Like a school bus, so I don't have to rely of people to get my kid to school.  So, yay! I think!

This weekend we have zero plans.  The boys want to swim and go for another hike. But nothing is set in stone.  I figured we would just see what goes on.  Next week is a little crazy so a nice relaxing weekend will be good.

OK.  Something I haven't mentioned it here yet because I still can't wrap my head around it.  On Monday we are taking Poncho to a specialist.  An oncologist.  They are pretty certain he has bone cancer.  At this appointment we are going to find out what his options are.  But to be honest, from what our regular vet said, most times, by the time you find it, it has already spread.  We are beyond devastated but have been trying to just love him extra until we have a final answer.  Id appreciate any prayers y'all can spare.  My heart hurts.  But it's the boys that I am  worried about.

That being said, I hope everyone takes some time to count your blessings today.  Look back on the week and find something that made you smile.  Even if its just one thing, let that be the light to take you into the weekend!
