Whats up, Weekend? 1•4•19

Oh happy day!  It's Friday!  And we are through the first week of 2019.  I hope this week has been a good one for everyone!  It was a pretty laid back week here so Im calling it a win!

Today I'm linking up with Lindsay from The Flynnigans, Charlotte from My Pixie Blog and Beth from Coffee until Cocktails.  Every Friday we share all the things that we are happy, grateful and thankful for!  Stop on over and see what everyone else is sharing today! Here is my list for this week!

Decluttering all the things.  I'm trying to keep up with TX Blogger Michelle from Modern Mom Life who is hosting a 31 Day Declutter Challenge.  Today was pet and holiday decor.  My boys aren't really big on toys and bones and things and they just got new beds so that was easy.  The only holiday decor that was still out was my Christmas Moose and he is packed away now.  I didn't get to the outside lights though, because I figured I should wait for David to hold the later for me. Buddy up and all that!

Ringing in the New Year in the street with big booms, a fire and good company.  We apparently had more fun that we should have and I'm pretty sure our new neighbors are worried but I will grow on them once we meet them.

Root Beer Floats and Root Beer.  I am just loving all things Root Beer.  The boys love when I get things for dessert.  One thing I remember about growing up is that there was always dessert of some kind.  I don't get dessert often and I forget just how much the boys love it.  I might have to get back to baking!!

New Habits.  I have made my bed every day this year.  Yes I know we are only 4 days in.  And I'm not making promises on the weekends, but I have probably already made it more this year than last year.  Seriously, I'm awful about it.  The only reason it's not made now is because David came home and slept a few hours before going back to work.

Instagram Challenges.  Yes, that makes 2 challenges Ive started and yes I am aware of my commitment issues when it comes to these things, but its a chronic illness one and one of the things I am working on in the long run this year is sharing my story and growing awareness about my rare liver disease so, I jumped in with both feet.  Two days late of course, so I'm already playing catchup.  Are you following me on Instagram?

My Air Fryer.  Yesterday I was on Face Time with my little sister and she though I was lying when I said my salmon lunch would be done in 13 minutes.  But it was.  It was delicious.  And she was speechless.

Sleep!  Another thing I am working on.  Getting more sleep.  If you know me, you know I take my naps seriously because I usually don't sleep much at night.  But I have been trying really hard, with a little help from my friend Mr. Melatonin, and have been sleeping great.  I have been house sitting all break and this morning, everyone was home and I got to sleep in.  Ahhhh, it was great!

Being able to Face Time with more than one person has my heart all sorts of happy. Although, when you have me, Mom and the two little siblings all laughing at once, it gets a little crazy.  But I love getting to see their faces.  I'm an Android Phone LOVER, but I'm so glad I went with a MacBook for my laptop!  I'm not left out anymore!

It was so nice outside today.  So when the girls came to see if we wanted to play outside, I demanded the boys unplug and get some sunshine.  It's never a dull moment when we take over the street.  Plus I got to hold a baby.  She's the so itty bitty!  Oh my ovaries y'all!

Surprises!  I have gotten not one, but 4 surprise deliveries.  You guys, I love David something crazy.  He got me a new phone case.  He is a case-oholic. He also got me a new pop socket with Mjolnir, Thor's hammer on it. Yeah, I'm probably a total nerd for being as happy as I was to see that!  Then since he knew I was decluttering my underwear drawer, he went and bought be new underthings so I could toss out all the old things!  Clearly we have been together for way to long! 20 years now!  Plus I hate shopping, especially for myself, so....thanks Babe!

And now its Friday night, and I have spent most of it re-caulking the boys bathroom, writing out my happiness and menu planning.  Tomorrow we are having company for the game and relaxing.  The back yard needs to be cleaned up and cut and David and I are still brainstorming this years trips and adventures.  I'm sure the boys will want to get out eventually so a trip the park or somewhere will probably happen to. But I'm not expecting much out of this weekend.  Just some good ole family time and a super chill weekend.

What are you all up to this weekend?  Anyone doing anything fun?  Id love to hear what you have planned. Or let me know a few things that made you happy this week!

Happy Friday Everyone!
