Whats up Weekend: October 20th

Yesterday kind of got away from me so here I am, sharing my Friday post on Saturday.  While I also write up my grocery list and wait for the washer to stop.  And hopefully I can get it all done, before David gets back from getting an oil change.  We shall see!  Then maybe we can get out and get some fresh air because I have been stuck in the house all week and nothing would make me happier

Whats up Weekend

Speaking of happy, today I'm linking up with Lindsay from The Flynnigans, Charlotte from My Pixie Blog and Beth from Coffee until Cocktails.  Every Friday we share all the things that we are happy, grateful and thankful for!  Stop on over and see what everyone else is sharing today! Here is my list for this week!

Paying off more bills.  Its not very often there are not medical bills in my PO box.  Recently we were slapped in the face with Anthonys bill for his scans.  The first one from radiology was under $20 and I was so happy.  then came the "Second bill" from the actual hospital for $500.  Jerks.  Baby bills get paid first and payment plans will be set up shortly for the big ones.

Knowing that this little blog helped pay those bills.  Its not much but any time I can help pay off chunks of those bills, makes my heart happy.  Davids OT has been cut back so I know every dollar helps.  Not being able to work full time eats at me.

Broccoli Beef

Good food.  Beef and broccoli is one of those things that doesn't photograph so well, but it was delicious.  Even I had a small bowl.

One set of good lab results.  My blood has given me a good run for my money lately.  But this is 2 times ( knock on wood) that they have been in range and I have been able to go 4 weeks between appointments.  Much better than weekly!

Bedtime funnies.  This kid will tell you that he doesn't like reading, but most nights, I find him like this.  Asleep with a book in his face.  The only reason he doesn't like reading is because it requires him being still for longer than 5 minutes!

Saying no and being ok with it.  So as much as I wanted Thanksgiving plans to work out, I had to pull the plug for this year.  And that is ok, because now we can regroup and make it work for everyone...next year!

Russian Tortoise

Hanging out with Koopa and the dogs.  Koopa has been going between "I want to go into hibernation" and "maybe I should leave my log and eat?"  He came out so, I gave him some extra squash. The dogs have been super extra extra with all this rain.  So we have just been hanging out and sleeping all day.  All of us!

Finally feeling a little more alive.  The Dr said I could rest and hydrate at home or rest and be hydrated in the hospital.  It might have taken 2 weeks but I'm starting to feel a little better and I did it all in my own bed.  I think I got lucky this time and was reminded to be more careful with my crappy immune system.

Skyscraper the movie

Movie nights.  As much as I love going to the theater, I love watching movies at home.  This week we watched Skyscraper with The Rock and Neve Campbell.  Yes from Party of Five.  How did I watch her when I was young and she still looks younger than me?  It was a good movie.  The boys and I are suckers for big explosions and fire so this was right up our alley!

An amazing husband.  I don't gush on him often, but I probably should.  Any man that will hold you while you ugly cry and then stay up in the middle of the night to help you clean the kitchen because he knows you clean when your angry and frustrated but also knows that you can't do it alone, even though his alarm goes off at 4am is a keeper.  He has been extra attentive and thoughtful and it has helped.  Parenting has to be a team effort. I appreciated the hell out of him.

I think that is 10 things.  10 things that made me happy this week!  If I could manage to find this many things in a week that mostly consisted of me laying in bed, surely y'all can find a few things about this week that made you happy too!  Let me know below what made you smile!

This weekend is looking a little lazy.  David is back from the dealership, my laundry is done and I just need to convince the boys to come out of their rooms to eat something.  Then I'm determined to get out of the house.  Where we will end up is still undecided.  I was supposed to be raining today but its not, so Im gonna run with it!

Have an amazing weekend friends!  What every you are up to, I hope it makes you happy!
