Up in the {Book} Club!

I can feel David laughing at me.  He calls me his little nerd girl.  But I know he secretly loves the way I get so caught up in a book that I completely ignore him.  I think...

When my friend text me the other day and suggested we start a book club I was all in!  You all should have seen his face when I told him I was in a book club!  I think he might have thought I was joking, but has given up teasing me. Its all in good fun of course.  Hes an electronic nerd.  But we will save that for another day.

Wanna guess what the first book is?  It was a movie....its a classic...true love and high adventure?!

This is one of my favorite movies ever!  Even thought I haven't seen it in years!  Want to know who else likes it? My boys.  I guess they saw it at Grandmas house one day!  Their favorite part of course are the ROUSes!  The Great Danes of rats!

I'm not going to lie.  I was so pumped to start the book and the first 30 some pages took me 4 days. So much story and explaining.  I kept thinking "this wasn't in the movie!"  Which is awful, because I know the books are almost always better than the movies.  Right?

I am about half way done and now that I am into the actual story, its so much better.  If I could stay awake I would keep reading but this weekend has we worn out!  And thanks to a kid who forgot his project was due TOMORROW, I have yet to get caught up on housework which means by the time I lay down, I will be to tired to read.  Maybe.  We will see! One chapter won't kill me!

  1. I'll be interested to hear what you think when you get to the end. I adore that movie - one of my all time faves! But I finally read the book last year... and I kinda hated it. Horrible, right?! I won't say anymore so I don't give anything away, but hopefully you'll enjoy the book more than I did! (Usually I love the book more than the movie, but it was definitely not the case with this one!)

    1. I had a really hard time in the begging on the book but I think whats ruining it is that I have seen the movie already. Does that make sense? I'm a visual person!
