Whats up, Weekend? 12•27•19

And just like that we are only days away from the New Year.  I can't even put into words how excited I am for it.  There were so many good things that happened but there was just as much stress and heartache.  I'm so ready for a fresh start and am in need of that first of that new year high.  The one that fills me with hope and motivation.  Yeah, I need that something big!

Today I'm linking up with Lindsay from The Flynnigans, Charlotte from My Pixie Blog and Beth from Coffee until Cocktails.  Every Friday we share all the things that we are happy, grateful and thankful for!  Stop on over and see what everyone else is sharing today! Here is my list for this week.

Reaching for my big camera more.

Saying no and not feeling bad about it.

Christmas Eve steak dinner.

Teaching the boys how to replace a leaky faucet.

My ancestry DNA kit David got me for Christmas.

Having the boys home with me for 2 week!

Dog sitting and getting some puppy love.

Anthonys great Drs that get me though every bump in the road!

Being married to my best friend.  Seriously love that man!

Making Christmas Cookies with the boys.

So I took down Christmas.  I know.  For someone who puts it all up so early, I sure did pack it up early too.  Only because I just wasn't feeling it this year and seeing it all just made it worse.  So I packed it up and am going into the new year with everything back to its place.  Well, sort of.  We are doing a bit of moving things around the house.  Making room for some new things and getting rid of the old stuff.  I'm excited to see it all come together.  I am the absolute worst at home decor stuff, but the house is finally starting to feel like home.  Funny how a few small changes can do that.

I'm also loving the hope and excitement that comes with a new year.  I have been spending a lot of time in my own head the past few weeks.  I tend to do that when I am stressed.  But for the first time in my life, the holidays were just so blah and that on top of everything else had me realizing that David was right about some things I was struggling with.  He is always right.  So I am letting go of a lot of baggage and am ready for this fresh start!

This weekend is supposed to be spent at home getting everything hooked up and moved around.  But I'm sure there will be a few errands ran.  I'm needing a few more houseplants and pots.  And David didn't even flinch when I mentioned getting more plants!  He even suggested a plant for the table and took my breath away!  And we will have to make a few stops at the pharmacy to pick up meds.  Anthony has been having a hard time with his tics and so we are upping those meds and crossing our fingers all his meds will get right with Jesus.  Its been a struggle to get them all balanced.  And he is feeling it.  Bad.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!  Who's got fun plans for the weekend?  Don't forget to let me know below what made you happy this week.  Happiness is contagious!  And something I will not complain about catching!

Happy Friday!
