Menu Plan 12•30•19

So happy Monday.  I just realized that today is the last Menu Monday of the year.  And I can't believe it!  The new year is just around the corner and holds so much hope.   I'm excited for the blank slate and excited to refocus.  I know its been nothing but crickets around here but hopefully that will be changing in the New Year too!

One of the things I need to work on in the new year is being more organized.  To be honest, I always have these big plans how things are going to work out and then shit hits the fan and nothing works out the way I wanted it to.  I'm a good planner.  But that follow though game is weak.  I have been struggling a lot with memory and retaining information that I really need to remember.  But David and I have come up with a plan and I'm hoping that we are able to make it work.

One thing I have been able to keep up with, barely, is my menu and grocery shopping.  I try to work on my list all week so that I can order my groceries on Friday night and we pick them up on Saturday.  I have had a few weeks where I had to actually go in to the store.  The horror!  But for the most part, every day we have home cooked dinner and a menu plan.  And that plan is some times the only thing I share all week here.  But like I said, hopefully that is a change I can work with!  Enough about all this, lets see what I have line up for this weeks dinners!

Braised Pork Chops and Salads

Turkey, Bacon, Avocado Wraps

Menudo

Asado Chicken and Sauteed Zucchini

Chicken Parmesan Casserole and Garlic Bread

It's the final week of Christmas Break and I'm hoping to make the most of it.  David is off both jobs on New Years Eve so I am glad we will get to ring in the new year together.  We are hoping to start the year off with a hike at a new park to kick start one of our goals for the year.  More to come on that later.  But for now, that's this weeks menu.

I know not everyone is into planning their menus.  I would love to be able to wing it.  Wait, no I don't that gives me anxiety just thinking about it.  Ordering groceries saves me a few hours on the weekend since that's when David can take me shopping.  And going into the week with a menu planned mean there is one less thing for me to remember.  Any other meal planners out there?  I know Im not the only one!

Cheers to a great Monday everyone and have a safe and happy new years celebration!
