What's up weekend 5•3•19

And just like that it is Friday!! I love it when that happens. Sure beats the weeks that drag on and on. It was a lazy, cloudy and drizzly week and probably went by so fast because I snuck in a nap most days. My body is just not feeling it. Between the headaches and the nosebleeds, Im drained. But I made it to the weekend so Im totally winning!

Whats up, Weekend?

Today I'm linking up with Lindsay from The Flynnigans, Charlotte from My Pixie Blog and Beth from Coffee until Cocktails.  Every Friday we share all the things that we are happy, grateful and thankful for!  Stop on over and see what everyone else is sharing today! Here is my list for this week!

Moms back. I love having her here and will be missing her something crazy when she leaves in a few days. I know she is itching to get back and get back to her normal. Which includes lots of facetime, so at least she can keep me company by phone!

Yellow Cactus Flower

Blooming flowers. My cactus treat me to new flowers every day! Everything is growing and I love it! Plus mom is a master weed puller so my yard should be coming back to life soon too! Crabgrass is the spawn of Satan.

Quiet nights on the patio by myself after everyone has gone to bed.
Did you catch my instastory where I suggested everyone make time for themselves? I was a little blown away by some of the replies I got. So many said they feel to guilty to take time for themselves. Another said she didn't have time to be "lazy." Le sigh...

Not feeling guilty for taking some time for myself! If everyone is sleeping and I want to sit outside for hours, who cares. My kids are fed, loved, and have everything they need. Moms spend all day worrying about everyone one else and you had damned well believe we deserve a break how ever we see fit.

Having David home for the nights. I know he misses the second income but having him home is awesome. Being able to run to the store after dinner for things we run out of or forgot. Or need for last minute school projects, because that happens! Like making these Guava Pastries for Spanish class at 9 at night...

Avengers Endgame. Y'all, Im not going to spoil it, don't worry. But after watching that and being feeling like I needed a minute, I came home to watch Game of Thrones and then I needed a who day to get my heart and head straight. Anyone else watch? Or are you one of those who wish those of us who are so excited would just stop already? Why is that even a thing?

Leaving Alabama

My bother in law had a bit of a health scare but is home and recovering. Thank you Jesus! Getting the call that he was in the hospital was awful. And also a reminder that even though try to stay healthy and take care of ourselves, shit happens. You just never know what will happen. I do know that I miss them all and I wish we lived closer!

Seeing so many of my friends doing great things in life. Reaching their goals. Living their best lives. I love it! I have seen so much hate and complaining lately. People are sharing things they love and their accomplishments and others get salty about it. I love hearing about people smashing their goals in the gym. People falling in love. All the babies. Im here cheering for you all!

STIM test

Anthony is having his second STIM test on Monday.  The insurance required a retest before they will consider covering part of the growth hormones.  What a shame that our health care makes us jump though hoops just to get better.  But I'm happy to know that he isn't stressed about it this time around and that we have insurance to help cover the cost.  Now we just have to wait and see what they say!

Overall I am just feeling happy and grateful and thankful for everything I have.  I'm loving the end of that dreadful winter grumpiness.  Even with all the rain we have been having, I'm smiling.  Because I know the sun is here to stay for a while.  I we all know sunshine makes me happy!

Tonight we are going out to dinner.  The rest of the weekend we will just be hanging out with mom and enjoying her while shes here.  We are also enjoying our time with Chico the Chihuahua who after 18 years of being our little shadow has slowed down enough for us to know our days with him are numbered.  This weekend will be pretty uneventful but next weekend, we should be sneaking off on a little adventure as long as the weather holds up. I can't wait!  Please let there be sunshine!

Whats up with your weekend?  Have any plans?  Id love to hear them or some of the things that make you happy this week!  I hope you all have an amazing weekend!
