This weeks menu is a pretty good mix of things. It moved things around a little bit when the Birthday Boy suggested going out for steaks for his birthday. But it's his day and he gets to pick so we are rolling with it. Lots of man food this week! Check out what else made it onto the menu this week!
I was originally going to make the wings for Anthonys Birthday but when he suggested steaks, I just pushed them to Friday. Figured we could just celebrate their being done with those stressful tests and kick off the weekend with crispy air fried wings and fries! Sounds like a plan to me!
Speaking of weekends, I hope all you amazing Mamas had a Happy Mothers Day! What did you guys do to celebrate you? We went to one of the nurseries here and looked at everything. 5 acres of flowers and plants and trees and statues and not one single complaint from anyone! Of course I could not decide what I wanted and when I did, there was only one small plant and I need 2 medium or larger ones, so next week we are going back. And last time I checked, David was thinking he promised me 3 plants. Don't anyone go telling him the original plan was only 2! Im crushing on these purples!
We went out for some pizza and then came home, busted out all the blankets and snacks, piled up on the couch and had a movie night. We watched The Lego Movie 2 with the boys and once they went to bed, it was time for Game of Thrones. We ended up out back with the dogs after that. So everyone got their mom time in. A perfect mothers day!
I'm off to get stuff done around the house. Laundry is started, yard needs mowing, medical bills need paying and today is bathroom cleaning day.
