It wasn't really the worst week ever. Wasn't the greatest either. But it is over. And I survived yet another week. Can you believe the month is already about over? Craziness right? Before I get sidetracked, let's get back to Friday.
I just love linking up with Lindsay, Charlotte, Beth and everyone else who links up every Friday. Its so easy to get caught up in everything that goes wrong, but today is all about what went right! No sense in starting the weekend off on a sour note. Be happy. And sprinkle that crap around like confetti. The world needs it!
Having David and the hospital with me. He doesn't get to go to a lot of my appointments, so when he does, it's always nice. Plus he lets me sleep on him while we wait because it was way to early for me.
Taking the boys to the park. David got to fly his drone. Anthony tossed the ball around and Alex climbed on EVERYTHING.
The smell of rain. I just love a good storm. The light show was pretty insane around 4 am. But I am very glad that it let up in time to get the kids to school with out getting soaked. Now hopefully it doesn't start back up again until they are home!
Watching the boys swim. Its been a while since we have been to the Y for a swim. I sat with the boys while David went to the gym. The plan was to read, but I just couldn't stop watching them play and laugh. They might love to swim more than I do!
Finally starting a new book. And not blowing through it in a day. Even though I want to. I have been trying to save it for reading before bed. But I have crawled into bed in the middle of the day just to read a little too.
Snuggling dogs. They don't care to cuddle with me, but they sure do love to keep each other warm. I get such a kick out of all the ways they can sleep. A 10lb chihuahua spooning at Great Dane... such a trip. Tried to take a photo, but they moved as soon as I grabbed my phone.
The hospital staff was amazing. The nurse that unwrapped me after my scan went nuts over my snake leggings. So much that when I went back in for my second set, she was telling me that she looked them up.
Morning chats with my Mother In Law. Y'all, Grandma is the best. I really did luck out in the IL lottery. After talking for 2 hours, she texts when she got home to remind me to take a nap. Love her.
Nailing down more plans for Summer. I'm so excited. The rental house is settled. I will get to see my other Mom and Dad and some old Disney friends. But we really need to sit down and make a list of things we really want to do. Like Gatorland. Davids not quite convinced, but I think he will be by the time we get there!
Being able to fix things around the house. Last night after I dismantled my kitchen sink pipes, David told me how lucky he feels to have his very own Mario/Luigi. We always joke because while we can be very traditional in our relationship, sometimes we throw gender roles out the window. I get excited about tools and he gets excited about buying us all new shoes.
Its supposed to be rainy and pretty miserable all weekend here. The good news is that I really don't mind the rainy days. That just means, we get to stay inside, read and watch movies. And the usual, grocery shopping and running errands. I am on the hunt for a new garbage disposal and yes, I'm actually really excited about that.
