Monday Motivation and August Goals

Today is shaping up to be quite the day.  We have to run to the hospital for an appointment and labs at 2 different clinics. Then its to the gym for some sweat and swimming. Then it's home for meds and recovery.


This weekend really did a number on me but I really am determined to keep my chin up and face this week down like I own it.  Afterall by the end of the week I will officially be 5 years from 40. Ohmygod. Don't worry Im not one of those girls who are afraid of getting old, I made it this far, you better believe Im thankful for that!  And I hear that 40 is the new 30 so Im practically still 25.  Prime!


I am down 5 lbs this month. One doctor was a little worried that it seemed to have happened over night, but it hasn't come back either so we are calling it a win. Another doctor tells me if I just move more I will be less fatigued. Im moving, Im even more exhausted but Im still pushing through it. 


I was going to just nix the goals for this month.  I already know it's going to be September in the blink of an eye and there won't be time to do much. But Im a glutton for punishment, so Im setting them anyways. Nothing too wild. Realistic but still goals to try and reach.


Get 6 hours of sleep a night.
Read 4 books.
Lose another 5lbs.
Post 4 times a week.
Make one new recipe a week.
Try something new.

It might seem silly but the sleep is the one that terrifies me the most.  I think Im on a 5 hour average these days. Im actually scared to check my fitbit app. What's one more hour right? I think getting back into our school routine will do the trick though. I have four books already lined up so all I have to do is actually read them.  Five if I include the book Im reading with the boys.
