Hair cuts, hearts and hanging out!

It's been a crazy week around here.  I started feeling bad Sunday and am finally feeling alive again.  So much for February being a fresh start.  Late start it more like it. And its been extra quiet around here even though I keep saying that is going to change.  But then life happens.  You know life is busy when Im quiet on IG too.  I try to check in every day at least but I miss this space of mine.

I also miss the days of journaling and getting my thoughts off my chest.  I wrote out a whole long thing the other day about my diet and what each doctor wants from me but then I over think it and think why would anyone read this.  And then someone emailed me and told me that reading back though the beginning of the blog really helped them accept the fact that they could live a normal life with this illness.  And I thought, damn . I need to get back to sharing more about my illness.  Its been crickets and weekly menus for to long!   Because some weeks the only part of my life that I have together is what we are eating!  No joke!  Im driving the hot mess express here.  I may have to give my thoughts a little more space on the blog.  I mean because thats why I started it in the first place.  Time to get back to my roots!

Today I'm linking up with Lindsay from The Flynnigans, Charlotte from My Pixie Blog and Beth from Coffee until Cocktails.  Every Friday we share all the things that we are happy, grateful and thankful for!  Stop on over and see what everyone else is sharing today! Here is my list for this week.

Feeling better.  Now lets hope it sticks!

Our 16th Anniversary.  Time flies!

First cut grass of the year.  And so it begins.

Heart shaped Cheerios.  They made me smile.

The boys being excited about dinner every night this week.

Hair cuts for the boys. They have so much hair!

Alex loving being on the morning announcements.

Fresh off the farm eggs. So good!

Just because phone calls from friends that make your heart happy.

Hanging out with Anthony before bed.  Love this kid!

I may have been sick for the most part of the week but it was still full of so much good that I can't help but be happy about it all.  My head is still pounding but so is my heart so, WINNING!  My goal for today is to not lose that momentum and go into the weekend strong.

Speaking of the weekend.  We have pretty much stayed home the last two weekends.  I wasn't feeling up to leaving.  David was sick last week.  We had planned to go to the Zoo and check out a new park but that didn't happen.  The boys really want to play some ball and Alex wants to take his metal detector for a spin outside of the back yard.  Maybe we can fit it all in somehow.

What do you have planned for the weekend?  How was your week?  I have been stuck in the house for what feels like weeks and the boys pent up energy agrees that we need to get out and get some fresh air.  We need our weekend adventures!

But for now I am going to clean up because I didn't do much this week.  And I have to make a million phone calls that I didn't get to this week either.  Messy bun and get stuff done!  Let's do it!

Happy Friday Everyone!
