Menu Plan: July 11th

Well last week was a tad quiet around here.  It was pointed out to me that not only did I not share my menu, but nothing.  All.  Week.  The days just kind of got away from me.  And now its already Monday again!

I wrapped up one dog sitting job and went straight into another.  The boys and I leave the house around 7:30 and are back just in time for me to make them lunch and get dinner started, eat, then I leave again. Thankfully I am just going down the road, but I hang out there for a few hours at a time.  By the time I get back, Im cleaning up dinner, tucking the boys in and getting in bed myself.  And I don't mind it really.  Keeps me moving and busy.  In a few weeks, Leroy yes this Leroy will be coming over for a week too.  Can't wait!

My menu this week is a little bit of everything.  Everyone wants something different and of course because its summer, the boys have become bottomless pits.  We are almost done with the fruit from last weeks bountiful basket and I will be ordering another one today.  If you haven't heard of Bountiful Baskets, you should check it out.  This is what my $15.00 got me last week.  Have you seen the prices of grapes and plums and berries lately? They are nuts here.  But this makes it all worth it.  And lasts us 2 weeks with me only having to but a few more things here and there as far as produce is concerned.

Bountiful Basket

This weeks menu is supposed to go a little like this.  I say supposed to because I still have to go to the oriental store and get the lumpia wrappers and noodles for the pancit.  Otherwise I would have made them tonight. People have been asking me to make it all but the last time I tried, it didn't come out exactly how I wanted it too. I want to make sure I have the recipes down pat before I go cooking for a crowd!  And the boys will be more than happy to be my taste testers.  So...

Parmesan Baked Chicken

Farmers Pork Chops

Beef and Broccoli Bowls

Caesar Wraps

Pancit and Lumpia

That's it.  Nothing super fancy.  My appetite is back and Im excited for it all.  Its a nice change.  But the hard part will be not eating all the snacks I threw in the cart yesterday...all on the same day.  Its crazy how one day all food makes me sick and the next I feel like Simba from the Lion King asking for a whole Zebra.  P.S. - I wouldn't really eat a zebra!
