Menu Plan Monday: May 23rd


Last week was really quiet around here. It was a crazy week.  Who am I kidding?  Crazy doesn't even cover it.  It started out great.  Monday, I was pumped.  Tuesday, I had a coffee date with a friend.  And then Wednesday it all hit the fan.  David came home sick from work.  In the last 8 years, that has NEVER happened.  And you know it was bad when he stayed home a second day.  The weekend could not have come soon enough.  Even if we were all pretty much done in.

Weekends here are all about spending time with family.  We did make it to see Captain America.  It was good, but not good enough.  Just saying.  And David twisted my arm and took me to the Zoo really quick to see some snakes.  Sunday was spent getting the back yard cleaned up. All the rain we have been having had my grass growing out of control.  Confession, by cleaned up, I mean David did all the work and I dusted the patio fan. Don't judge me.  I cut the front yard on Friday!

Needless to say, there was zero grocery shopping done on Sunday and so I had to get it done this morning. Thanks to a great Mother in Law who lives a few blocks away and is always willing to drive me to the store. Grandma is the best!

Since last week was such a bust, this week I am determined to get life back on track.  Starting with my menu.  Which isn't the healthiest, but its all made at home.  There will be nothing fried and lots of veggies to go along with it.  Here is what I have lined up.

Monday: Cesar Chicken Salads.
Tuesday: Spaghetti ( I am loving THIS sauce! )
Wednesday: Leftovers.
Thursday: Beef and Broccoli Bowls bowls.
Friday: Baked Swai.

There is so much that I need to get caught up on.  Laundry for one.  Does it ever stop?  Don't answer that! My to do list is growing but is still pretty doable.

I need to move more this week.  Last week, I'm pretty sure my Fitbit was laughing at me.

I also need to sleep more.  I actually hit my sleep goals 3 days last week. That explains the lack of steps.  I have a plan though.  To get more sleep.  I will share that soon!

But my washer is beeping at me, reminding me that I need to put that load in the dryer before its Friday and I don't know where all the boys clothes are.  The dog is scratching at an empty food bowl.  Oops.  And my elliptical is taunting me.  With the dust build up.  I should dust it off and get some work in.
