Happiness is ______ {Week 25} #happinessis

I started writing this post out earlier and it very quickly turned into an angry rant.  So I took a deep breath, had a bowl of cereal and I'm back to try it again.  I will save the other post for later.

Happiness is date night and kid free weekend. David and I went to dinner and spent most of Saturday running errands and getting the car looked at .  We walked to a near by store to waste some time while the car was in the shop.  I've been feeling so disconnected so it was nice to have a few hours to catch up with each other.

Happiness is just letting go.  Letting the kids jump on the couch and scream.  The dogs were barking and running around like crazy.  The music was turned up a little to loud.  But man was it fun to watch these guys have so much fun.

Happiness is knowing Marie the foster pup is going to a family who are already over the moon in love with her.  She is going to be showered with love for the rest of her life.  She will be going to her forever home Saturday!

Happiness is the start of a brand new day.  I am not at all a morning person but every sunrise gives me hope that this day will be better than the one before it!

I have always been able to find happiness in all the craziness, but this week I am struggling.  Hanging on a thread.  So tell me, what has made you happy this week?  Is there something that you can always count on to make you happy?  Stop by Crazy Adventures in Parenting and see what others are happy about this week!

  1. Why are you struggling, sweetie? (Or should I wait for the next post?) Huge hugs to you! (BTW, I love that sign hubs is holding up lol)

    1. Oh Lisa, I've just been stressed to the max and instead of getting it off my chest I have been holding it in and blaming myself. I really need to stop doing that! I tried to convince him to buy the sign but he said he doesn't need a constant reminder. I beg to differ! LOL

  2. I love that you found happiness in the middle of a struggle. I know that's not always easy!

This week my husband took all of the cushions off our couch and let our two year old jump all over them. It would normally make me cringe, but I just let go and remembered the couch was old, and that his laughs were worth not flipping out.

Thanks for a reminder that happiness can be found!

    1. I try my best to always find the good and happiness. There is always a little, even if its just a glimpse. I need to let loose more often. Its just really hard you know. So it was nice, not to have to get on their case about screaming and running around like crazy. I think we all needed that!

  3. Good for you for focusing on the bright side even when things are frustrating or tough. I find that focusing on gratitude (and also, deep breathing exercises) help me when I'm in that bad spot. I hope things look even brighter for you tomorrow, Kim!

  4. Thank You Colleen. Your stopping by makes things brighter already :) I have been to sick to get any type of excercise in and I know that plays a BIG part in it. I need to try deep breathing because some days I can barely catch a breath! Hope to see you soon!
