Sundays, Snapchat and Sleeping In

It's Friday! I am thankful for that in itself.

I know it's been a little quiet around here. I have been adjusting to a change in my meds and the side effects. OK in other words, I have been splitting my time between the bed and the bathroom. I managed to keep up with the housework all week. But I have failed at getting up early this week.   blame David.  His schedule has him home in the mornings and it appears to be impossible to get out of bed when hes still in it. I guess that's how he feels when he is getting up for work and Im just sleeping away. His will power is clearly stronger than mine.

Lets see if I can get the rest of this out of my head before I forget it. Here are a few things that made me smile this week.

Anthony turned 12 and we have entered that last pre-teen year. This makes me happy beyond words. I know most moms are begging for their kids to stop growing, and I do it sometimes too, but I am really excited to watch this kid grow up. And I hope that every Birthday wish he ever makes comes true.

Sunday was also Mother's Day. I don't know how I got so lucky but I have 2 of the best boys a mom could ever ask for. They are wild and a tad feral at times. But they are kind, compassionate and so full of love. They are smart, curious and crack some of the funniest jokes in the world. I am blessed for sure!

Snapchat has kept me laughing all week long. Whats a girl to do when she can't get out of bed but needs a little laugh. Alex and I read his favorite book in voice changing filters and it was hilarious. Now he keeps asking what book we can read next. He also hijacked my phone and randomly snapped our attic door.... hes a strange one that kid.  But it's all in good fun.

Good deeds. Sometimes I don't have the chance to do much. This week we reunited a dog with her family and made sure a little girl got home safe after she told us on the walk home from school that a car was following her. Turns out the car saw the loose dogs and was circling around to make sure they left the kids alone and everyone got home safely.

The dogs are snoring and my eyes are getting heavy so Im going to wrap this up with a few more things that have made my week better.

Popsicles. They saved me from dehydration this week for real.
Toilet Paper. I've been to places where it wasn't always available.
Roses. They are beautiful.  Just wish they lasted longer!
Haircuts. I miss Alex's curls but not trying to do his hair every morning.
Sleeping in. Its always better when David sleep in too.

Who's got fun weekend plans? I think we are sticking close to home again. Might squeeze in a movie. Maybe S'mores night or a trip to the pool in the morning. Nothing to wild. Mostly just enjoying a few days before Monday has be back at the Transplant Clinic. Happy Fri-Yay!
