Quick and Easy Fettuccine and Shrimp Alfredo

Tonight we are celebrating our 12th anniversary.  The boys are spending the night at Grandmas.  And we have already picked out a movie to watch later. Usually we head out to dinner but this year I wanted to spend the night at home.  So with the help of Bertolli I served up one of our favorite dishes.

David is more of a red sauce kinda guy, but Alfredo is saved for special occasions. I don't know why, but it is. And Bertolli Alfredo Sauce hits the spot! The best part was that the whole dinner took me just about 30 minutes. Just enough time for David to get home and take the kids to his moms house. Perfect timing.

And so with the boys away for the night, we began our night with this.  Can I just say that I have been looking forward to this all week?

Shrimp Alfredo1

Ingredients

1 bottle of Bertolli Alfredo Sauce
1 box of Fettuccine
1lbs of shrimp (peeled and cleaned)
Parmesan
Parsley

Directions

Cook pasta according to the packaging.
While the pasta cooks, saute the shrimp being careful not to over cook it.
Add Alfredo sauce to the shrimp and stir well.
Drain pasta and add to the sauce.
Toss to mix evenly.

Serve sprinkled with some chopped parsley and parmesan cheese.  Because, well, cheese makes everything better!

I love to serve asparagus with pasta.  Another quick and easy dish.  Toss with olive oil, salt and pepper. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until its done to your desired tenderness.  We like them with a little bite in them.

And now a little intermission while our food settles and then its time for a movie and some couch time.

Did you know that Bertolli is celebrating their 150th anniversary?  They have been gracing peoples tables for years now and have become a favorite of ours.  Want to give it a try yourself?  How about a coupon to save $1.50 off!?
