Happiness is ______ {Week 21} #happinessis

“For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.”

                                ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Is he right or is he right?  You know living with a chronic illness is hard, but the worst part is the anger it can bring into your heart.  And that makes everything so much worse!!  Ive gotten so much better at not letting my anger get the best of me and for the most part, I'd like to think I'm doing a pretty good job at it.  Its not always perfect, but there is always something to be happy about.

Happiness is a beautiful sunrise.  Especially when you are running late and your kid is dragging on behind you and complaining that its to dark and you're walking to fast.  Coming around the corner every morning is a fresh new sunrise.  Some days they are better than others, but they always make me happy!

Happiness is our first soccer game of the Fall season.  We didn't win but we tied!  Came back from 5-1 in the last few minutes.  The boys were pumped, us parents were even more excited I think.  Happiness is watching my son play his little heart out and seeing a little of myself in him!

Happiness is seeing these papaya plants growing out of nowhere.  My others were killed by all the rain we had last week.  and yet somehow some seeds made it to the other side of the yard!  Right on top of my bird of paradise, but as long as they are growing, I'm not gonna complain :)

Happiness is warm fresh baked bread.  Enough said.  OK, wait.  Not really.  I seem to be missing my Dads recipe for English Muffin bread.  I was heartbroken really.  It was one of the few recipes he ever typed out for me.  And I can't find it anywhere!  So Pinterest to the rescue.  I found a recipe that looked about right and went for it.  And maybe its just because it wasn't "his recipe"  it taste just ever so slightly different.  Still delicious though!  Add some butter and mmmmm.  That's what happiness is!!

Don't forget to stop by Crazy Adventures in Parenting and see whats making others happy this week!
