Sharing our Spoons Week #3

Sharing Our Spoons will be a weekly link-up where you are able to find support and encouragement to focus on your entire health. Not just physical but all of you. For this link-up you will be able to choose holistic goals to help you achieve optimal health. My five goals include: Physical, Mental/Emotional, Spirtual, Something fun and the Bonus of getting out of our comfort zone.




I didn't do as well as I hoped to last week.  But I did do most of what I had hoped to do.

  1. Physical: Walk, run or ride 3 times this week.  Might start the C25K again, made it to week 3 then I don't know what happened. Done.  This week I am going to change it up and aim for 10+ miles.  
  2. Mental/Emotional:  Write it out.  I have been holding so much in the past few days its making me sick to my stomach.  Might have to write it on paper and spare y'all the drama! Didn't write anything out, but I did go over some entries from a while back and reminded myself that things will get better.  Keeping this goal for next week still.
  3. Spiritual:  Start a prayer journal or dedicate a spot for them in my daily writing.  Everyday I see my friends asking for prayer requests.  And I pray for them.  I want to write them down and check them off when they get answered!  And they will! While I didn't write any prayers in my book, I did email a few people that were on my mind and let them know I was praying for and thinking about them.  This week I am teaching the boys to say grace before meals.  I always did this growing up, David didn't.  
  4. Something fun:  Send out a cards.  I love getting cards in the mail and hopefully so will the people that get my cards :)  Check!  I may have only got one out, but it was the most important one.  A photo card to my father who is fighting liver and lung cancer just months after beating stage 4 tongue and jaw cancer.  I love you Dad!
  5. BONUS: One thing to get you out of your comfort zone a week...This should be fun.  I have been running on the treadmill for so long, I think its about time. Its about time I run the streets! Of course I mean of the neighborhood.  At night, when no one can see me or early morning. I might even be able to fit it a quick swim before I have to take Anthony to school.  Sounds like a plan to me!  This one sorta happen.  It wasn't planned like I wanted it to.  But while we were out on a walk the boys wanted to see how fast the dog could run so I tried to show them.  He can run fast.  Faster than me anyways :)  This week I'm going to share one of the many drafts I have.  There are so many posts that I have written out and then just couldn't publish.  But I started this blog to say things I needed to say so I'm going to pick one and hit post.  You've been warned!!
